COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY CLASS

Guns Inc offers an instructor led firearms course. The course is $160.00 with a non-refundable $85 deposit required prior to scheduling your class. This course will certify you to apply for your LTC or FID Card, it covers the safe handling and operation of many types of modern firearms and includes Live Fire Training which is now required by many towns. Students are given the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling, operation, storage of firearms and ammunition in the home and transportation of firearms outside the home.         

Course Outline:

  • Rules for Safe Gun Handling

  • Identifying and Loading/Unloading Different Firearms

  • Practical Exercises in Safe Gun Handling

  • Ammunition identification

  • Firearms maintenance and cleaning

  • Applicable Massachusetts firearms laws for purchase, possession, transfer, storage and transportation

  • Proper storage and childproofing of firearms in the home

  • Transportation of firearms

  • Firearm selection

  • Ammunition selection for self defense

  • LIVE FIRE PORTION IN OUR STATE OF THE ART RANGE IN THE SAME LOCATION

Steps of the licensing process and completing the license application will be reviewed.

At the successful completion of the class you'll be presented with a COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY CERTIFICATE.

This Course is suited for shooters over 21 who are seeking a Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms (LTC). Or a Firearms Identification Card (FID) for those who are between 15 and 20 years of age. (Under 18 still requires parental consent)

Also, if you want a non-resident Massachusetts LTC and you have your permit to carry for your home state, this is the class for you.

Training/Refresher Course:

+Schedule a 1 Hour LIVE FIRE personal range session with one of our certified instructors for only $85.00 (FEE includes lane rental, eye protect rental, & ear protection rental. Add a second person for $35.00!

**Includes any .22 caliber firearm One (1) 50 round box of .22 LR ammunition included. Additional $20.00 fee for all other caliber shooting **

>Bring your own personal gun & ammunition or rent a gun of your choice at our facility.

**ALL OUR RENTAL GUNS REQUIRE SHOP PURCHASED AMMUNITION**

**MEMBERS &  NON-MEMBERS CAN BRING THEIR OWN FACTORY AMMUNITION FOR THEIR PERSONAL FIREARMS**....No reloads or steel core. 

There is a $25 non refundable deposit required to reserve a session.
